Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) Brampton

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.

BLS Certification Online

BLS Certification online is provided through Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Blended Learning combines online learning and in-classroom training to offer a comprehensive experience. The course covers the same course curriculum and teaches the same skills as an instructor-led course, but divides the delivery of the Basic Life Support course into two parts:

Format is designed for first time BLS learners and/or those who do not use their BLS skills on a regular basis. After successfully passing the online component (self-directed, but typically approx. 1 – 2 hours), students attend a 2-hour in-person skills practice and evaluation session.
